A one of a kind happening with eternal significance. The passion of Jesus Christ imbues Easter with the special significance it rightly has. Having communion is also a powerful reminder of Jesus death and provokes us to think of His sacrifice and its great significance for us. It is also a command to take it frequently. Both ceremonies commemorate the same thing with differing frequency as a result of Jesus's command regarding communion.At the same time Easter elevates the ressurection it's climax. The high point of communion on the other hand is participation. ........Last Sunday was the second "joint" service we have had since I became a member. I remember thinking sometime after the first one when next we would have another. The reason being that I have always enjoyed singing in other languages. I was "doing Communion" yesterday and my first thought last week during preparation was, "Aren't we really celebrating and reflecting on His death and resurrection every Sunday?"
