All the comforts of . . .
Home. It’s always nice to get home. You can have a great time, enjoy seeing friends and family, stay in some nice places but nothing compares to sleeping in your own bed.
My favorite part of coming home (odd as it may sound) is the shower. I am a big fan of the shower and there is something special about your own shower. That’s when I know I am home.
What’s your favorite part about coming home?
Definately the shower, second would be the deck. All the flowers, plants of which I am gently urging to grow and produce fruit.
My cat!
Hi, this is Justin. We just got back today. I’ve been gone for almost a month in France and i’s good to be back!
My favourite part about coming back is the absence of scraming kids at the dinner table… and my bed which is long enough for me!
I like the first time I go to MY fridge, get out a cold can of Pepsi, stretch out on MY couch, turn on MY tv, and watch MY Angels win a ballgame. Sometimes that doesn’t happen for a few days after I get home, but when it does it’s SWEEEEET.
Unpacking, lots of unpacking.
Hello Randy.
My family has “come home” three times this summer. (Bible Camp, Mid-Ohio Valley Work Camp, Muz’s Funeral in North Alabama) I would say that my favorite part of coming home is getting back to “my bed.” There is nothing special about my bed. It’s a king size 1992 Sam’s Club $300 special but it’s my bed.
I asked my wife to respond to your blog and she said it depended on the place. She said coming home from Bible Camp made her favorite aspect the “smell.” She said her cabin is musty and the smell of the kids (girls mind you) adds to it’s aroma. If we come home from anywhere else, it’s the bed as well.
Randy, I think I’ve lost your email address. Would you please email me at cwinwc@yahoo.com
Thanks and welcome home.
CHIPPER!
I would have to agree with Randy. For me there is nothing more agreeable after a transatlantic flight than a good steaming shower.
I also like to be impressed “anew” by the orderliness of my room.
