I think we should have lazy days like that once a week. Talk about refreshing & renewing. Sounds like it was a lot of fun, and most of all, relaxing. Reminds me of how we used to spend New Year's Day - football games all day; grazing at the food "trough"; & generally doing nothing. It's quite productive!

Along the movie marathon line, I should also point out that I look forward to the day that we watch The Lord of the Rings...extended version.

Being a Federal employee, all I can say is, "yes-s-s-s-s-s-s-!" Put the holidays together with a flex schedule, and it's almost utopia........

Sounds like my kind of day as well! If you get tired of a day of Star Wars flicks, how about war movies?

Patton - Battle of the Bulge - Hunt for Red October - Heartbreak Ridge

Oh yes, the good old days of government work.....
3 boys were bragging about how fast their dads drove. One boy said,"My dad is a banker. He gets off work at 5:00 and is home from downtown by 5:10."
The second boy said, "Well my dad is a lawyer. He gets off work at 5:00 and is home from downtown by 5:05."
The third boy said, "My dad works for the government. He gets off work at 5:00 and is home by 3:30."

Government town + Ministry = freezer full of fish.

Doing nothing is one of my favorites. And I agree with you, keep the federal holidays coming.

My wife and I recently decided to take our oldest, who is 5, on the Star Wars journey. We started with Episode IV. We're debating whether to take him into the (in our opinion) disappointing world of Episodes I, II, and III.

That sounds like the perfect day. I know I've said this before, but I can't wait until James is old enough to understand what's going on in those movies (and not get freaked out by III). We are going to have such a marathon!
