Congrats to all. It runs in the family, those coaching skills. I coached a junior high church basketball league and we were 1-11.

Allez les dauphins.

Meomix -

I'll be in DC the same Sunday. Maybe between the two of us Randy will be sure to show up, even if he uses one of his "used" sermons.

Congratulations!

Some of our very best memories and parenting efforts were through community baseball teams when Lex coached.

I don't know how far you go back to read comments, so I'm commenting here on your blog of yesterday, which I didn't see 'til today. I, too, have prayed for you, because I suspected this might happen. I hope and pray that all will go well for you and your family. I believe Arlington's loss will be Stockton's gain. God bless you, Beth, Reese, and Madison over the next several months as you go through this transition.

PLEASE stay put on Sunday, June 18th, and the following Wednesday night. I'll be in D.C. then, and I would absolutely HATE to miss the opportunity to meet you! You WILL blog from California, right?

Randy - You beat me to it!

Steve (excuse me Randy) - "Merc" isn't in the Hall therefore, no mention. Plus, I had a hard time forgiving him for breaking up Butch (Jim Kiick) Cassidy and the Sundance (Larry Csonka) Kid.

What, Cecil? No Mercury Morris?

I would rag on you for the team names, but I root for the Angels.

James' coach asked his 4-5 year olds to name their t-ball team a few weeks ago. Our shirts are blue so he asked them to come up with a name with the word "blue" in it. I, of course, immediately thought we should be the Blue Angels. The kids had practically no ideas...one of them finally suggested the Blue Skies. Wow. Worst_name_ever.

And behind every successful girl's softball coach is one outstanding spouse!

Congrats to Beth and Madison. 11-1? I'm impressed! We always were happy just to be over .500 on a given season.

May the spirit (can’t say ghost since they haven’t passed away) of Nick Buoniconti, Larry Csonka, Bob Griese, Jim Langer, Larry Little, and Paul Warfield (Hall of Fame Members of the 1972 Undefeated Miami Dolphins) indwell your team.

What a joy it is when good players come with good parents. Congrats to Beth and you.
