With help that I greatly appreciate from a few others I have completed packing my office. The flooding forced the packing to occur a head of schedule. That will probably work out to be a good thing in the long run. All that is left is to remove my desk, credenza, computer desk AND my fish tank. I’m thinking with all the water the office took on (4 inches to be exact) I should just drain the tank onto the floor. The news we got yesterday from the insurance company was this: You are not covered. You don’t have a flood policy.
The Oregon contigency left Tuesday and the Swiss contigency arrived yesterday afternoon. I have yet to see (or taste) the chocolate. I may have to start rummaging through some suitcases.
Some appropriate thoughts for the day:
Psalms 124 (NCV) What if the LORD had not been on our side? What if the LORD had not been on our side when we were attacked? When they were angry with us, they would have swallowed us alive. They would have been like a flood drowning us; they would have poured over us like a river. They would have swept us away like a mighty stream. Praise the LORD, who did not let them chew us up. We escaped like a bird from the hunter’s trap. The trap broke, and we escaped. Our help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.

I posted a comment a day or so ago but it disappeared. Again, I’m so sorry for all the waterlogging! Bummer about the insurance…….
VERY appropriate thought for the day………..some days, I tend to forget that the Lord of the universe is truly on my side.

We’ve found out in Florida that insurance companies don’t want to cover anything where they have to return any of your money to you unless you pay ahead of time 10 times what the repair is worth. I could think of a few wrathful verses of Scritpure to insert at this point, but I’m afraid that would be “unchristianly.”
Peace to you as you “un-waterlog.”

Bummer! No insurance and no Swiss chocolate.
Thanks for doing whatever you did to restore my links.

FYI – I left you a comment yesterday that isn’t there, as well. Just saying what a small world it is – little Buster’s youth group is here at PUMP this week. Great bunch of folks!
So sorry to hear about the flooding and insurance drama. Been thinking about you guys out there as we melt in the heat.

Bro:
I did not realize the flooding was effecting you and yours. What a time to be moving and entertaining. Our thoughts and prayers are certainly with you.
Would a pound of Sonny’s BBQ Pork help?
