Some of our Monday Night Football gang drove up to Seattle Sunday afternoon to attend the Seahawks / Packers game. A couple of weeks ago they extended an invitation for me to accompany them. I’m not in a place right now (work wise) that I can take three days off – not to mention that I like to be with my family if I’m going to have that kind of time off.
Still, I know it would have been fun. The road trip with the guys always produces many fond memories and stories.
Yet, as I tuned into the broadcast last night from the comfort of my home, I was glad I had declined the invitation.
Snow, snow and more snow.
Not only that, my compadre from the office is a Packers fan.
The ride home today will probably be chilly.

This will be the first time in 5 years that a group of us “Dads” at church are not taking our sons to a Pro or College football game. I miss it already.

I’m always impressed by your love (and liking)
for your family. God bless.

I called Jay Blackwell last night for the first time in years. He was at the game.

I heard all I needed to on the radio this morning. Good choice. Besides, it was Seahawks/Packers.

Professional (aka, spoiled millionaires) sports of any kind does not interest me. Nor does sitting in the cold to watch sports of any kind. Nor does sitting in the cold with it snowing! You made a good choice … even if you could have taken the time off work.

Ah, a pro game. I’ve only been to one but it was great fun and even though it was 28 years ago, some of the stuff is embedded in my brain like it happened a minute ago.

As a long time Bama fan (not much wanting to claim it lately), I follow Shaun Alexander. Would love to see him in person. Last saw him in the Orange Bowl game featuring Alabama and Michigan.
I take my daughter on December 10 to Alltel to see the Jaguars/Colts. Sports provides a tremendous bonding time for adults as well as kids.
Peace
