Finally! A church that quinches your thirst.

Cheers! had it right all along. Who would have thunk it or drunk it?

Most elders meetings I've been a part of would require at least Jack and Coke!

That's why I never like that George Thoroughgood. He said when I drink alone I like to be by myself.

That's all I have to say about that.

Peace.

"At last year's annual meeting of the Southern Baptist Convention, members overwhelmingly reaffirmed their traditional stance on alcohol by passing a resolution opposing 'the manufacturing, advertising, distributing, and consuming of alcoholic beverages.'"

It's a good thing the Southern Baptist Convention didn't have a chapter in Cana.

Hyprocrisy ticks me off.

BYOB (Bring Your Own Beer) at the Baptist Church? This "bud" - ing conversation is for you. Who would be the conservative and the liberal in the "less filling / taste great" discussion? O.K., enough (stole this from zman) "wine" - ing from this elder.

After I forwarded that article to another friend he made me aware of the various "Theology on Tap" groups across the country started by our Catholic friends.

I wonder if elders meetings began with a "wine" session if it would make it any easier to receive complaints from members.

We understand and accept when missionaries must adapt to local customs. Those in the St. Louis region know that the city is home to Anheuser-Busch, and that Budweiser is an integral part of the city's history, development and social conscience. To drink beer is good citizenship and we know how close to godliness good citizenship falls.

At least they still use a grape product for communion?
