Vote By Mail

A significant number of Californians exercise the vote by mail option.

It’s convenient and you can take your time filling out your ballot and making sense of the language in the propositions.

We did the vote by mail this year without the by mail part.

You can still fill out your ballot (as we did) and walked it over to our polling place (which we did) and dropped it in the box (which we did).

Not sure what it’s like in your neck of the woods but no lines so far in Stockton, California (or at least in our neighborhood anyway).

we dropped off our ballots at the library across the street from our home…just had to wait for the walk-signal to cross…it was the only easy thing about the voting process for me this year.

We’ve been voting by mail for several years and, in my opinion, it’s the only way to go. You do it at your leisure, there are no lines, there is no pressure, and you vote a couple of weeks earlier than the election day.

I voted about 2 weeks ago. It took about 20 minutes. Not so today as apparenlty there are long lines here in Florida. Of course, I may have mis-(re)-counted.

not too progressive here. Voted in person today in a booth. Not much of a line either, though since I voted about 9:00 a.m. after most had gone to work.

Nice thing about voting in person was that I saw a lot of my neighbors at the voting precinct location so got to visit with them. It gives a great sense of community and that we’re all in this together, despite our differences.

I wish Tennesseans could vote by mail! Our church building is always used for early voting, but neither of us got down there to take advantage of it. At times, those lines were stretched around the building. That being said, we thought we’d be in line all day at our regular voting place, but we got through the line in 45 minutes.

We always vote the old fashioned way. No lines at our polling site.

Since our son was born (over 9 years ago), we have especially made a point to make it a family affair to instill the importance of being involved as an American. Our son really enjoys it.

Due to early voting, the lines (according to some friends of mine) were not as long as anticipated. Helps when 4 million folks get their voting out of the way early.
