The fellas in the praise band decided to practice on a regular basis and play once a month.

As these things go it should get easier to play together the more we play together.

Our next attempt at musicality will be December 21st with a tour through the Christmas numbers.

We’re looking for off-beat (but not that off-beat) versions of popular Christmas songs AND some suggestions for Christmas songs that may not be as popular (and still suitable).

    Any ideas?

Feel free to make up some titles but put an asterisk or something by your actual suggestions!

I doubt you’ll be able to pull this off, but Apologetix has a parody of “Hotel California” that is “Hotel Can’t Afford Ya” that tells the Christmas story. We tried it at LB, but just never could get it to sound good enough to play it publicly. If you’re going to try and do an Eagle’s song, you better be very, very good instrumentally and vocally. We weren’t that good.

When Jeremy was in high school they used to do a version of the 12 days of Christmas that had a lick from another song for each of the 12 days… along with costumes, etc.
