Just Doing Our Part
As the most miserable city in America, Stockon still has something to offer and attract others into our misery company.
We just need to spin this news, look at it from the glass half-full.
So I thought we could help out the chamber of commerce and come up with some slogans.
Something like:
“Come experience being number one.”
“You wanted a new (item that was stolen) anyway.”
“At least we’re not Bakersfield.”
You need to go to “Despair.com” and buy you one of those “half empty” glasses. It has a line along the middle of the glass and the comment, “This glass if half empty.”
What about: We’re more miserable than you are.
Hmmm… could be worse “…stuck in Lodi…”
You’re never (misery loves company) alone in Stockon!
Who’s miserable?
How about…….”It’s lonely at the top?”
(Nobody wants to aspire to your height!):)
As I recall, Memphis just behind Stockton on the list! We’ve made some more lists, too. Most Dangerous or something; also Unhealthiest…..or somewhere very near “most” on those lists. I guess we need some slogans, too.
