And Now The Weather . . .
We had our first 100 degree day yesterday with no breeze.
When the delta breeze is absent we feel each and every degree.
Didn’t get home until 7:30PM and the pool was a welcome oasis.
That’s a look at the weather and back to the news desk . . .
Sunday we explored the concept of Living Out Loud.
As the final week of our 40 day campaign kicked off we discovered how service and joy go hand in hand.
It probably seems to some folks that we talk about loving God and serving others way to much.
I just can’t think of two better things to talk about.
A walk the talk thing. Sounds good.
Rain, finally rain our way!!
Serving others and joy – who would have “thunk” it?
To the degree a church is doing outreach usually signals to the opposite degree folks are fussing and fighting over the “me-reach.”
Lots of Christians just like to talk about the weather, you know.
100 is way, way too hot. Come on our way!
Maybe if we talked about loving God and serving others for the rest of the year people might begin to listen. Or instead of talking about it we could have a Sunday service that “serves” the community. Just a thought …
It was 95 here and we had a great time in the pool. Jan was so anxious to get in, she fell in between church services!
I’m used to the 100 degree heat. What I’m NOT used to is practicing baseball with my boy in 100 degree heat. Maybe if I woke him up at 2 am and went out to the park…
