He has two more days until he moves from being a 7th grader to an 8th grader.
She has one more day until she moves from being a 9th grader to a 10th grader.

There is no pause button! It will seem like no time when they will both be out of high school. Then out of college.
We have one soon to be a 5th grader who was a kindergartner only yesterday and one who is soon to be a first grader who should still be a newborn!
Every time I asked my teens to do something, they paused.
