Kicked off a summer series last night for the Ham Lane Church in Lodi.
I was impressed by the graciousness and attentiveness of the believers.
It’s nice to have people smiling at you when you teach.

We went to Ham Lane last week. Traditionally, they have Sweet Deliverance perform a concert the week before their summer series. What a great tradition. Awesome voices!

Yes it is because the opposite of those smiles is something we referred to in the past as the “Scowl Meter.” Greg use to peg the “S.M.” at our old church to my delight.

I could peg the SM at Long Beach, too. But you are right … it is nice to have a friendly face in an audience.

As I recall from the one Wednesday night class of yours that I sat in, it would be next to impossible not to smile when you teach!!!

All those other folks are actually smiling on the inside. Well, that’s what I tell myself.
