maybe they figure that at least your first child is between those ages 16-19 and you will not have the money for anniversary gifts (w/ car, insurance, college)…

I actually googled this and found:
16th – silver
17th – furniture
18th – porcelain or bronze
19th – bronze

In light of what Judy shared, how about a bronze bust of yourself for your wife? You can tell her over a candlelight dinner, “Honey, our marriage has reached the Bronze Age.”
